An Iroiro-Odoshi no O-Yoroi (A Great Armour With Multi-Coloured Lacing)
Unsigned, Late Edo Period In The Style Of The 15th Century

Comprising black lacquered iron thirty-two plate suji-bachi kabuto overlaid with bronze shinodare, four-stage tehan-kanemono, down-turned mabizashi covered with printed leather and mounted with a gilded kuwagata-dai pierced with foliage and applied with a gilt bird and supporting brass kuwagata and a ken, four lame kebiki laced kozane shikiro with large fukigayeshi covered with printed leather and applied with stylised flowerheads, kebiki laced iron kozane haramaki-do with gilt fitting engraved and pierced with foliage, five lame kebiki laced kusazuri, kebiki laced o-sode with gilt fittings pierced and applied with chrysanthemum kanemono, mounted on a wooden stand and complete with a six legged black lacquered box with large metal fittings engraved with foliage
