The heavy octagonal sighted barrel with silver edged triangular fore-sight and flared circular muzzle, decorated over its entire length with an engraved carp beneath a waterfall amidst a landscape in silver nunome with drops of silver spray, and inlaid in copper with a double mon at the breech, brass back-action lock with later brass serpentine, brass pan-cover, cherrywood full stock, and brass trigger (ramrod missing)
