The first with twist sighted barrel signed in full at the breech, scroll engraved tang, signed scroll engraved lock (hammer replaced), half-stock, chequered grip, scroll engraved iron mounts (trigger-guard finial missing), later peg mount, and vacant white-metal escutcheon (worn overall, fore-end cap missing, under rib removed); the second with long barrel (nipple removed), flat lock (action defective), short wooden stock partly chequered at the butt (reduced and repaired), brass trigger-guard of service type, and iron peg mount (iron parts rust patinated overall), Birmingham proof marks (2)
