The first with octagonal sighted barrel stamped 'Manhattan Fire Arms Co. Newark N.J.' along the top flat, cylinder with 1859 patent date and oval panels roll engraved with military and naval scenes (worn), frame, brass trigger-guard and grip-strap (originally silver-plated), rammer, rounded grips, and matching numbers (rust patinated overall); the second with turn-off barrel, signed engraved action, thumbpiece safety-catch, trigger-guard, and figured flat-sided butt, Tower private proof marks (2)
