A Rare .36 Remington New Model Police Five-Shot Percussion Revolver
Circa 1863-73

With octagonal sighted barrel stamped 'Patented Sept. 14. 1858, Remington & Sons. Ilion. New York. U.S.A. New Model' along the top flat, cylinder, frame with sighting groove, rammer, butt and brass trigger-guard all retaining some nickel-plating (worn-off in places), and rounded rosewood grips; together with its factory conversion rim-fire two-piece cylinder retaining some nickel-plating (2)
