A .31 Remington-Beals 1st Model (Issue 5) Percussion Pocket Revolver, And A .32 Whitney-Type Rim-Fire Revolver
The First No. 339, Circa 1857-8, The Second Circa 1875

The first with octagonal sighted barrel retaining faint traces of patent dates, top-strap retaining faint traces of manufacturer's details, cylinder, frame with external pawl on the left (action defective), white-metal trigger-guard, and rounded gutta-percha butt (damaged on one side, worn and lightly pitted overall); the second with octagonal barrel, frame stamped 'Defender' along the top, fluted cylinder, spur trigger, black hard-rubber grips (one damaged) each impressed with an American eagle, and much of its nickel-plated finish (2)
