The blade of triangular section with two mekugi-ana, the lower section cut with a hi (details obscured), the saya and wooden tsuka carved and lacquered overall with grotesque masks and creatures, and mounted on each side for almost their entire length with strips of iron (probably originally hinges) decorated with silver foliage (worn)
