With very long sharply tapering blade of hollow triangular section lightly etched on each side at the forte with stars, a sun-in-splendour, a man-in-the-moon and an arm holding a sword emerging from a cloud, iron stirrup hilt chiselled with conventional foliage on the pointed langets, straight rear quillon with spirally ribbed button terminal, pommel and back-piece in one, the former drawn-out to form a mount for the top of the knuckle-guard, the latter cut with a design of three chevrons, and cord-bound leather-covered grip, in iron-mounted black leather-covered wooden scabbard bound with ribbed iron bands each held by rivets, locket and suspension mounts with double line decoration, and two rings for suspension (worn and patinated overall)
