A Broadsword In German Landsknecht Early 16th Century Style

With double-edged Kaskara blade (pitted) cut with three fullers along each side of the forte and incised with two man-in-the-moon marks on each side, hilt comprising brass quillons of circular section bent into a horizontal figure of eight shape issuing from a monster's head, decorated with a design of raised diamonds and terminating in spherical knobs pierced with small holes, wooden grip of flattened oval section fluted along each side, and flared brass pommel notched around the edges, fluted on each side, and retained by three nails each with domed floret-shaped head
