The first with bright colichemarde blade of tapering hollow triangular section boldly etched with symmetrical designs of foliage framing a flaming heart pierced by arrows on each side of the forte, hilt comprising double shell-guard (one half missing) and globular pommel each pierced and chiselled with foliage involving a trophy of arms on each side, diagonally fluted rear quillon, arms and knuckle-guard, the last centrally chiselled with foliage on each side, and original grip bound with silver ribbon and twisted silver wire, in original vellum-covered scabbard (incomplete, minor damage) with steel locket (frog-hook missing) chiselled with a trophy of arms above foliage on the outside; the second of similar form, the complete hilt with wooden grip bound with blackened twisted hair (some wear and rust patination) (2)
