The first with tapering blade of flattened diamond section etched 'En Toledo' within the short central fuller on each side of the forte, ricasso struck with an oval mark on one side, gilt-brass hilt cast and chased with rocailles and fluted strapwork on a stippled ground and comprising boatshell-guard, swelling quillons, globular pommel, and swelling grip; the second with tapering blade of flattened hexagonal section, hilt comprising chiselled double shell-guard, quillon-block and spherical quillons chiselled with a woven design, pierced globular pommel, and later wire-bound grip (some wear overall) (2)
