Two Brass-Hilted Small-Swords
The First Early 18th Century, The Second Mid-18th Century

The first with tapering double-edged blade struck with a fleur-de-lys mark in front of the central fuller on each side of the forte, plain brass hilt of characteristic form, and original grip bound with twisted copper wire; the second with tapering blade of hollow triangular section, characteristic brass hilt (rear quillon and one arm missing) roughly cast and chased with figures and animals in rustic settings, and original grip bound with copper ribbon and twisted copper wire (loose, both blades pitted, hilts worn) (2)
