With slightly curved single-edged blade, steel hilt comprising short rounded downcurved quillons and tapering grip with characteristic beaked pommel each decorated on both sides with encrusted gold foliage within an encrusted silver wreath suspended from a gold ribbon, and with garlands of gold foliage heightened with silver pellets, all within lines and borders of faceted steel beadwork (minor losses), in original vellum-covered wooden scabbard (repaired) with locket and suspension mounts retaining faint traces of original blueing and decorated en suite with the hilt, the former with frog-hook, and with two rings for suspension (worn overall, some inlay replaced)
