An English Silver-Mounted Hunting Sword In The French Taste
London Silver Hallmarks For 1802

With broad fullered blade double-edged towards the point (repaired) and etched on each side of the forte with cabbalistic symbols and a trophy of crossed sabres, arrows and bow, one side including a Turkish baldachin, hilt comprising recurved quillons with rounded foliate terminals, quillon-block with diagonal beaded lines, and beaked ebony grip with carved line border and thin silver pommel-plate with button finial (knuckle-chain missing), in its brown leather scabbard (worn and incomplete)
