Three English Brass-Hilted Hunting Hangers
Late 17th/Early 18th Century

The first with curved single-edged blade with traces of crowned mark on one side, hilt roughly cast with cherub's masks, figures and foliage, comprising shell-guard with scalloped edge, rear quillon, knuckle-guard and cap-shaped pommel, and natural staghorn grip; the second of similar form, the hilt with downbent scallop shell shaped side-guard, domed pommel-cap, and natural staghorn grip; the last with latten-filled mark on each side of the blade, plain shell-guard linked to the knuckle-guard, cap-shaped pommel, and natural staghorn grip (blades pitted) (3)
