A Pair Of 36-Bore D.B. Percussion Travelling Pistols
By Jas. Wilkinson & Son, Gun Makers To His Majesty, London, No. 3608 For 1827

With browned twist sighted barrels signed in full along the rib and engraved with foliage and a scallop shell between the breeches, engraved case-hardened breeches each with pierced platinum plug, foliate engraved grooved tangs, signed bolted locks and dolphin hammers (two old replacements), figured half-stocks with chequered flattened butts, the latter each with shaped silver butt-cap engraved with foliage and scallopshells and with threaded aperture opening to reveal a cavity for percussion caps, foliate engraved blued steel trigger-guards each with engraved pineapple-shaped finial, engraved silver fore-end caps also forming the ramrod-entry, silver escutcheons and barrel-bolt escutcheons, the former engraved with owner's crest, original brass-mounted ramrods, and some original finish, London proof marks (3)
