A Steel-Hilted Small-Sword
Late 18th Century

With tapering colichemarde blade (polished bright) of hollowed triangular section etched with foliated strapwork and foliage on each side of the forte, silvered steel hilt decorated with fluting enriched with lines of multi-faceted beadwork and comprising pierced shell-guard, bell-shaped quillons, knuckle-guard and rounded pommel with button finial, and original grip bound with twisted silver wire and steel ribbon alternately set with beadwork and small gold rosettes
