With bright fullered blade double-edged towards the point (areas of pitting on each side) and etched over half its length on each side of the forte with maker's details, a foliated monogram over '2', a wreath of oak and laurel, and a crowned flaming grenade, the forte on one side with owner's crest and motto above circular gilt-lined maker's stamp, regulation brass hilt cast with flaming grenades and scrolls, comprising three scrolled bars swept-up to join the knuckle-guard, pommel-cap with winged thunderbolts and a flaming grenade, and spirally-grooved fishskin-covered grip bound with twisted brass wire, in original steel scabbard (light pitting) with brass mounts and two brass suspension rings
