A Special Pattern India Cavalry Trooper's Sword
By Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, Late 19th Century

With curved single-edged blade with medial fuller along the back-edge on each side, the forte with stamped maker's details on one side, and an Arabic inscription within a cartouche on the other, blackened steel hilt comprising three rounded bars swept-up to join the knuckle-guard, comma-shaped rear quillon, rounded pommel-cap, and chequered swelling wooden grip of flattened oval section, in its wooden scabbard covered in black leather with blackened steel chape
