With tapering blade of flattened diamond section indented in each side at the base above a moulding, small crescentic axe-blade pierced with two holes and with a projection above and below, beak-shaped flukes en suite and both incised with foliate decoration (worn), and tubular socket flared at the base, on later wooden staff of circular section
