With broad curved blade double-edged at the clipped-back point and etched and gilt against a blued ground over half its length on each side with a dragon, the bust of a moustachioed Turk in profile, a trophy of arms, stars, moons and an arm holding a sword emerging from a cloud, gilt-copper stirrup hilt comprising foliate engraved rounded langets, downcurved rear quillon, lion-head pommel with faceted back-piece, and hardwood grip (minor damage) bound with copper wire, in original black leather scabbard (some crazing) with shaped border engraved gilt-copper mounts and two rings for suspension, the locket signed in full within an oval on one side
