Sri Lanka
Alexandrite is the color-change variety of the mineral species chrysoberyl and Sri Lanka is one of the primary localities for this rare stone. This lovely ring centers on an antique cushion-cut faceted alexandrite, having very good color change from green under daylight, to reddish under incandescent light. Weighing approximately 3.23 carats, the gemstone is bordered by small brilliant-cut diamonds which also form the shoulders, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.54 carats, it is delicately mounted in platinum and 18K yellow gold. Size 7 ¾ .
