By Gerd Dreher
Idar-Oberstein, Germany
Featuring a high-quality watermelon tourmaline from the Ural Mountains carved in the form of a tropical fish. The tourmaline has great thickness and its color is exceptional; it shows a golden center near the gills, graduating to fuschia pink and the undulating fins are of lighter pink. The eyes are set with green tourmaline cabochons rimmed with 18K yellow gold. The fish appears suspended above a cluster of water-clear quartz crystals intended to resemble a coral reef. Signed with monogram GD for Gerd Dreher. Measuring 5 ½ x 5 ½ x 2 ½ in.
