Footnotes
Accompanied by a letter from Georg O. Wild dated January 18, 1972 to the present owner, indicating that he believed the lion was purchased at Gump’s who may have acquired it in Switzerland which is why his signature does not appear on the piece.
Also accompanied by an appraisal by Gump’s dated March 4, 1969.
