Poona, India
While stilbite is frequently seen in a creamy white color, this specimen is notable for the well-saturated, bright orange hue—the color of “sorbet”—of its crystals. The clusters are lustrous and radiate in a fan shape. They contrast strongly against the near-colorless apophyllite crystals which are wonderfully transparent and lustrous. The specimen has a very three-dimensional “rolling mound” formation and exceptional aesthetics. Measuring 11 x 7 ½ x 3 ½ in.
