Peridot is typically found in granular masses, therefore the present example is exceptional for its crystallized form. A cluster of three twinned orthorhombic crystals, graduating in size, in a nearly “stepped” formation, all with natural terminations. The largest, in particular, appears of facetable quality—with transmitted light a beautifully transparent rich green shows through. An excellent and desirable specimen for the collector. Measuring 2 ¾ x 2 ½ x 1 ½ in.
