Large Ammonite

Large, with well-defined ridge structures, red iridescence is seen throughout an ammonite of deep brown/black coloration. Ammonites arose during the Devonian Period and met their end, along with the dinosaurs, during the K-T extinction. The closest living relative of the ammonite is the chambered nautilus. Diameter measures 13 1/2in
