A South Staffordshire enamel scent bottle

circa 1770
of rectangular section, painted in colours with a fashionably dressed couple out walking, after 'La Cascade' by Watteau, the reverse with a harbour scene, flanked by pink and white panels and edged with gilt scrollwork, gilt metal stopper in the form of a cat, 7.5cm (fine crack, small restored area just below the rim)
