A Birmingham enamel snuff box

circa 1750
rectangular, painted with harbour scenes, the exterior in colours, the cover with two Turks standing by a ship overseeing the closing of a crate, barrels and further packages nearby, the interior base and cover with further sailing ships in puce monochrome, fitted with hinged gilt metal mounts, 8.4cm (minor scratches, a few typical fine cracks)
