Two south Staffordshire enamel snuff boxes

circa 1770
of rectangular form with gilt metal mounts and hinged covers, one painted with a shepherd and shepherdess, the sides with smaller rural landscapes, reserved on a pink ground enamelled with white dots, the interior inscribed 'Fidelle en Amour', the other printed and overpainted with lovers in a classical garden, reserved on a blue ground, 5.1cm and 4.6cm wide (both with some overpainting) (2)
