A fine Battersea enamel wine label

circa 1753-56
engraved by Ravenet after a design by James Gwin, printed in puce and lightly overpainted in colours with Cupid holding a flag, a military encampment in the distance and a helmet on the ground beside him, titled 'Claret', 6.5cm (a few minute chips, small loss to the enamel around the left hand suspension hole)
