A St James's (Charles Gouyn) seal

circa 1751-59
modelled as a lady standing beside a dog, a basket on her back and a bird in her hands, wearing a yellow bodice and a skirt painted with rose sprigs, the dog with black markings, inscribed around the base 'fidelle soiees', (Bryant, pl. 39 (18), with a metal mount and cornelian seal, 2.9cm high (a few minute chips to basket, head of bird lacking)
