A Liverpool-printed creamware jug

dated 1794
painted in enamels with a portrait of the vessel 'Charlotte' within a transfer-printed scroll and floral cartouche, inscribed above 'Indulge' and below 'Success to the Charlotte of Lurgan', the reverse printed with a rural village scene with a girl driving two cows across a bridge by a timber framed house, a church in the distance, inscribed below the spout '1794', 29.7cm (fine cracks, chip to rim)
