of unusually large size, transfer-printed in black with a shield containing the coat-of-arms of The Worshipful Company of Weavers picked out in colours within an ornate wreath of rococo scrolls and floral swags, inscribed 'Success to the Town and Trade of Lurgan', the reverse inscribed 'Indulge Pass the Jug', and below the spout 'Robert Hazelton, 1791', 35cm (fine crack, some wear and a few rim chips)

Lurgan is a town on the banks of Lough Neagh in Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland. Its prosperity was founded on the linen industry, resulting presumably in strong links to the Worshipful Company of Weavers.
