A Royal Worcester vase and cover by Frederick Chivers

dated 1998
ovoid, applied with elaborate foliate scroll handles and pierced at the neck, the body decorated with a deep blue ground reserved with a cartouche finely painted by Chivers, signed, edged with raised gold scrolls and flower sprays, the white cover gilt with radiating stripes, the rims also gilt, 22.3cm, printed marks in blue/black, shape no. 1927 (2)
