A pair of Minton majolica garden seats

dated 1881
modelled as stooped seated blackamoor boys, both with lionskins thrown over their shoulders, wearing pale blue robes secured at the waist with striped sashes, under bright green jackets, with pink boots, seated on green cushions with pink tassels at the corners, similar cushions resting on their heads, 48cm, impressed Mintons, shape no. 1435 (minor restoration to extremities, flaking to one boy's pale blue robe) (2)
