Footnotes
Billingsley arrived at Worcester in 1808 - during the Barr, Flight and Barr period. He initially worked as a flower painter and a small number of finely decorated services are a tribute to his genius. Most pieces here display Billingsley's distinctive mannerisms, although it is possible that a few plates in this set are the work of a pupil.
