circa 1805-10
cylindrical, a row of white 'jewels' below the everted rim, set on integral square bases, applied with eagle's head and ring handles, painted, probably by John Barker, with colourful shells lying among seaweed on a shaded dove grey ground, the reverse with vermiculé gilding below a frieze of anthemions on a salmon ground, a gilt net design inside the everted rim, impressed crown and BFB, script marks referring to royal patronage (minute chip to tip of one eagle's beak) (2)
