A Worcester sauceboat

circa 1760
of 'strap-fluted' form, the moulded panels picked out in gold and painted with garlands of colourful flowers, flanked by smaller sprigs and an insect below the spout, the foot and rim picked out with puce scrollwork, 16.1cm long
