A rare Worcester yellow scale teacup and saucer

painted with panels of 'dishevelled' birds flanked by smaller panels of insects, reserved within gilt-scrolled borders on a bright yellow scale ground, saucer 12cm (married) (2)

The extremely rare yellow scale ground is almost always found in conjunction with 'dishevelled' birds, often painted by the same hand.
