A Worcester oval basket

circa 1770
with pierced openwork sides and twig handles terminating in applied flower sprigs, the exterior with a pale lemon ground applied with florets at the interstices picked out in pink and green, the interior rim painted with colourful flower sprigs, the base with a large mixed flower spray, 21.5cm (restoration to handles and rims)
