A rare Worcester hexagonal creamboat

circa 1754
crisply moulded with a distinctive square section handle with curled thumbrest and a geranium leaf moulded beneath the lip, the rococo cartouches painted in blue with a variation of the 'Sinking Boat Fisherman' pattern (I.B.20), a figure on a bridge on one side, another figure in a sampan beneath a willow tree on the reverse, 11cm long, 5.4cm high, workman's mark of TF type (section of the rim restored and a few minute chips)

Footnotes

Because of the small size, the decorator has omitted the buildings seen on the more usual sauceboat version of this pattern
