A Chelsea teapot and cover

circa 1760
of globular form with a scroll-moulded handle, spout and knop picked out in gold, the lower section with crisp pine-cone moulding picked out in pink, puce, blue and gold, below colourful birds perched on fruiting and flowering branches, gilt dentil rims, gold anchor mark (cover broken and restuck) (2)
