A Chinese Fujian beaker enamelled in England

circa 1700-20
painted in a limited palette of red, green, yellow and black with a Chinese figure fiding on a horse between formal plants, the reverse with a teaset on a table, 6.5cm

Footnotes

Many Chinese blanc de chine beakers were enamelled in England with simple plant designs in red and green. A number of these were included in the Watney Collection part 4, European-decorated Chinese porcelain. The figure subject on the present beaker is very unusual, however.
