With slightly curved fullered blade double-edged at the point and etched with a martial trophy, a man-in-the-moon, stars and foliage over each side of the forte, hilt (loose) decorated with gadrooning and comprising oval loop side-guard joining the knuckle-guard (slightly bent), rear quillon, pommel formed in the round as a lion's head, its mane overlapping the grip, faceted button finial, and spirally twist ebony grip (minor chips) bound with silver ribbon and twisted silver wire, in original scabbard covered in brown leather (renewed) with silver locket, chape and suspension mount, the former chased with a trophy of arms on one side and pricked with maker's details on the other, and with two silver rings for suspension
