With plain barrel and tang, border engraved bevelled lock with 'GR' crowned and 'Tower' across the tail, figured full stock (butt with small repair) stamped with Board of Ordnance ownership mark on the apron, regulation brass mounts including butt-cap pricked with initials on one side and numbered '240' on the other, belt hook, and brass-tipped ramrod, Ordnance proof marks
