A silver locket containing a lock of Lord Nelson's hair, early 19th century,

the lock of hair tied with gold wire and mounted behind glass in a silver frame engraved "LORD NELSON'S HAIR TRAFALGAR OCTR. 21 1805" 3 cm (1 1/8 in) diam.

According to family tradition, this locket was given to Captain Charles Tyler by Lady Hamilton.
