Persian manuscript on paper, 333 leaves, 19 lines to the page written in four columns of nasta’liq script in black ink, double intercolumnar rules in red throughout, margins ruled in yellow and red, catchwords, occasional commentaries written in more than one hand at a later date, 4 illuminated headpieces in colours and gold, miniatures at end of each chapter added early in 20th century, crudely repaired throughout with loss of some areas of text, some staining, later brown morocco with stamped central medallions of leather onlay decorated with intertwining floral motifs, stained and rebacked, loose
