Athar Ali, The Apparatus of Empire, Delhi, 1985): Jan Bayg, the Bakhshi of Shah Shuja’ in AH 1058/ AD 1648-9 (p.231); Jan Bayg Haravi, Sobedar of Orissa in the year AH 1058/ AD 1648-9 (p. 233); Jan Bayg, son of Murad ‘Ali who received the rank of 100 zat in the year AH 1063/ AD 1652-3 (p. 275).
