A Timurid tinned copper kashkul
Persia, late 15th Century

of boat shape with raised ends terminating in stylised animals heads, both sides engraved with a band of inscription below the rim, a band of palmettes and floral medallions below, paired fish inbetween
20 cm. long.

Footnotes

The inscriptions around the mouth comprise the call to God to bless Muhammad and the Twelve Imams.
